Briquette machines are one of the ultimate solutions for anyone looking to dispose of their wood waste and convert them into biomass fuel. These machines allow a person to convert their agricultural and farm wastes into a useful energy resource and earn money with it. Biomass briquettes are better burning material as compared to traditional fuels like wood, coal, charcoal as these have a high calorific value and eco-friendly burning option. This blog will discuss the types, manufacturing process, and advantages of briquettes.
Types of Briquette Machine
Screw type
The overall purpose of the whole briquette
process is to convert raw materials like wood, agricultural, farm, and forest
waste into smaller and compressed briquettes. With a screw-type briquette
machine, raw material gets converted into smaller briquettes with a hollow
center. One of the biggest benefits of hollow briquettes is that it ensures
complete burning of the briquette as air is in a larger contact that facilitates
burning. The lignin helps in keeping the briquette together and binding the
particle together to form a high-density briquette.
Stamping type
This is not that common as compared to the
earlier one as briquettes formed are of a specific size which is not that
commonly used. Like any other briquette machine, this also converts the raw
materials like farm and agricultural waste into smaller and compact pieces that
can be used as burning fuel. The finely crushed pieces are compressed with a
stamping or punching process and smaller compressed briquettes are formed.
Manufacturing process-
- Raw material - common raw materials like sawdust, wood chips, agricultural and farm wastes are fed into the machines like the chipper shredder or briquette. These machines crush these raw materials into smaller pieces that are then compressed in the briquetting chamber.
- Moisture content - Briquettes with higher moisture content are not ideal fuel for burning. These are dried up using machines
like a rotary drum dryer and moisture content is reduced up to
5-7%. Only briquettes with moisture content in this range are considered ideal for burning.
- The end product - the finely crushed raw material is converted passed to the briquetting chamber. In the briquetting chamber, the raw material is heated and compressed. These compressed particles are then converted into different shapes and sizes depending on the machine size and requirement.
- The end pieces of briquettes are packed and ready for transportation.
Advantages
High-quality fuel
There is no doubt that these wood briquettes
are an efficient and eco-friendly source of heat. This is one of the biggest
advantages that makes them an ideal burning fuel for commercial boilers and
other industries where heat energy is required. It is an environment-friendly
energy resource, unlike raw wood, coal, Kerosene, and charcoal.
Small sizes
The small and compact size of the briquette
makes them an ideal fit for workshop and furniture shops. The smaller size also
gives an advantage of saving storage space.
Different sizes
One of the biggest advantages of the briquette machine is the end product's size and shape can be changed by changing the
mechanism as per requirement. These machines can be used to process the
different types of raw material and convert it into an efficient burning fuel
source.
High demand
As the industries are looking for a
cleaner-burning source these briquettes become an ideal source of producing
heat energy. These can be used at home or at industries and hence are in high
demand looking at its huge advantages. Regular shape and easy transport are
some of the major benefits of these biomass energy solutions.
